Episode 15: Being A Black Sheep
In This Video:
1:11 – Take A Break
1:23 – Find That Peace
1:39 – Think About How You Can Be The Black Sheep
I’m in Carmel, California. We just drove from San Francisco heading down to LA, and we’re staying for a couple of nights here in Carmel, which one of my wife’s favorite cities. We’re staying at Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch located just outside of Carmel. What’s really cool about this place is that we’ve been in the hustle and bustle of Beverly Hills and just crazy busy with a lot of people . What we decided to do spend a bit of time in Carmel just to chill out here in Mission Ranch. What a perfect place to be. It’s just peaceful here.
Take A Break
I wanted to talk to you about how we’re so busy with practice and sometimes you need to take the opportunity to take a break. With all the hustle and bustle in the city, sometimes we just need to get out of our space and focus on what you want. But in order to do that, you actually have to find that peace and quiet rather than doing it day in and day out.
Think About The Black Sheep
The other thing that I want you to think about is that while you’re in that peacefulness, I want you to think about how you can be a black sheep in your community because you want to be different. You want to be someone who stands out. You want to be the person who does something a little bit different than everybody else. That’s the only way to get noticed. You want to be the person who stands out and stands something. You’ve got to draw a line somewhere and say “This is what I stand for”. You have to have a message because when you become that black sheep, then people will get a sense of who you are.
Some people might not like you, but that’s okay. There will be people who will get attracted to you because you stand for something and you distinguish yourself to be that particular person in your community. So I encourage you to become the black sheep in your community.
